One of our clients requested from the technical Department of Polyorganic Tecnologia Ltda a solution for the treatment of effluents containing Nickel ions in their disposal of served waters.

The metal was at an excess level, not in conformity with effective legislation, and there was a high possibility of a fine from the Environmental Control Organs.

We visited the client in question and after in loco technical evaluations, we enabled the complexation of the ions in excess by means of a combined application of Poly DDS Na 40% and DTPA Pentasodic Solution 40%. The result was highly satisfactory; we managed to solve the problem. Currently the company carries out monitoring and is able to maintain the results within the standards allowed by CETESB.
